Quality Assurance(1) GMP certificate.
Good Manufacturing Practices (“GMP”), is a set of management standards focusing on product quality and safety in the production process. GMP includes two parts: hardware and software. Hardware concerns about personnel, premises, equipments and instruments. Software concerns about organization, protocols, operation, hygiene, records and standards. Implementation of GMP is not only the responsibility of pharmaceutical manufacturer to take charge of safety and operation efficiency, but also the vow of the company to safeguard its products’ competitive advantage. GMP is also the precondition for internationalization of pharmaceutical manufacturers. Hence, implementing GMP is the basis for pharmaceutical manufacturers to sustain the foundation of their operations & development and is the passport for entering international markets. China required all pharmaceutical manufacturers to meet GMP requirements and obtain GMP Certificate before 30th June, 2004, or the enterprise had to stop production till it got the GMP certificate. (3) Other Certificates and Standards (a). MHLW Min Shan brand's manufacturer Lanzhou Foci Herb Factory , also has Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW) certificate. (b) NSF Tanglong brand's manufacturer Lanzhou Taibao Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, also has NSF International certificate (to meet or exceed the FDA's GMP guidelines) (3) BRC The manufacturer - GKH Pharmaceutical Limited, has certified by BRC (British Retailer Consortium Global Standard) as its products have passed BRC Food Standard. (4) ISO Shineway Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, has cerfitied by ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 Certificate issued by BSI (British Standards Institution). ISO9001, the international standard on quality management system, aims at strengthening the overall quality management system and improving product quality, which will increase customer satisfaction. ISO14001, the international standard on environment management system, aims at lowering costs, saving energy sources and implementing clean production, which will lead to a win-win result to both the economy and society. OHSAS18001, relates to occupational health and safety management, and aims at improving the safety consciousness, safety ability and operation skill, which will decrease work accident and occupational disease, and protect the staff. The three systems above are international standards, which promote the systematization and standardization of the enterprise in quality, environmental protection and occupational safety.
